About Us

Dogs have been part of our lives for more than 35 years. Long before our children were born, we were devoted breeders of Labrador Retrievers, and our passion for dogs has only grown stronger with time. About a decade ago, a wonderful lucky moment brought our first Australian Shepherd, Ready, into our lives—it was love at first sight. That moment marked the beginning of a beautiful journey that continues to this day: the story of Lightlake Kennel.

Our breeding program was founded on our exceptional dogs Noah, Zara, and Mygo, who joined us from a world-renowned Spanish kennel, as well as Journey, who arrived from a prestigious American kennel. Even today, our work is built upon them and their outstanding descendants. A few years later, our first Miniature American Shepherds also became part of our family: Crash and Honey from the United States, and Prince from France.

We are a family kennel located on a nature-surrounded farm in southern Hungary, where our dogs enjoy space, freedom, and an active life. They prove their excellence worldwide in dog shows, various canine sports, dog dancing, and even therapy work—but most importantly, they live as cherished family members in loving homes.

Our main goal is to breed healthy, beautiful dogs with true breed character, capable of thriving in every aspect of life while bringing joy to their families. Each litter is carefully planned, and every puppy is born with purpose. We place great emphasis on health and genetic testing, and we maintain lifelong contact with our puppy families, offering guidance and support whenever needed.
